Accessibility and NeuroInclusion Rooted in Lived Experience
Whether you are planning a community gathering, non-profit event, fan convention, or professional conference — we eliminate barriers, ensuring every guest feels included.
Who We Are
Rooted Inclusion LLC is a disability-led accessibility consulting practice based in Indianapolis, Indiana. We help event organizers — fan conventions, community festivals, nonprofits, universities, and corporations — design experiences where every attendee, regardless of disability, sensory need, or neurodivergent identity, can show up and participate fully.
Our work is grounded in lived experience. Our founder navigates the world as a neurodivergent person, as a family member of people with physical disabilities, and as someone with non-apparent disabilities. That perspective isn’t a footnote — it’s the foundation.
We are not a compliance firm. We are your partner in building events that are genuinely, meaningfully welcoming.
Removing Barriers to Participation
The Event Industry Is at an Inflection Point
For years, accessibility meant checking boxes — a ramp here, a large-print program there. That era is ending.
The Events Industry Council's Futures Landscape Study 2025 named accessibility and inclusion one of the 12 macro forces defining the future of the global events industry. Nearly 70% of event professionals now say improving accessibility is essential to their long-term success — not just the right thing to do, but a core business priority.
Indiana's event industry is growing quickly, with 748 active event planning businesses and $284 million in industry revenue in 2026 alone (IBISWorld). As the sector grows, so do attendee expectations. People with disabilities — and the friends, families, and colleagues who attend events with them — notice when they're an afterthought. They also notice, and remember, when they're not.
The organizations building accessible events today aren't just avoiding complaints. They're building the kind of trust that turns first-time attendees into loyal communities.
That's the work Rooted Inclusion does. Not compliance. Not audits for the sake of audits. Real, practical guidance from someone who has navigated these barriers as an attendee — and knows exactly where the gaps are.
